Becca Brown: Drawing and Printing on Clay workshop

In this workshop you will learn techniques for drawing and printing on clay; during the morning you will experiment with a range of mark making, drawing and printing techniques on clay slabs. You will then use these slabs to build with, making mugs, lidded vessels or vases. Each participant will end up with at least one pot that will be finished for you with a clear glaze and fired in the kiln, and be posted back to you within 3 weeks of the workshop*

All materials and equipment are provided, but please bring items that could be used for mark making to personalise your work, such as shells, screws and nails, toothpicks, combs, pastry rollers etc and *£6 in cash payable direct to Becca so she can post your work back to you once it has been fired. You may also wish to bring a notebook and a camera phone to document the process. Aprons are available but you may wish to bring your own.

Full payment will be taken at time of booking (this is non refundable or transferable to a different workshop). However IF this workshops has to be cancelled you will of course receive a refund in full.

Please bring a packed lunch. However hot and cold drinks, biscuits and cake will be provided!

Under 16’s must be accompanied by a participating, paying adult.

Please be aware the workshop artists retain the intellectual property to their own ideas- you cannot go into business making, or running workshops showing copies of the artists work. You can however use the ideas for personal use and with your own students, if you are a teacher.
