Curious Clare: 'Distilling the Rainbow'- Botanical Paper Making workshop.

£85.00

Produce an array of stunning handmade papers derived from natural materials such as kitchen waste and locally sourced plant matter. This is an introduction to both 2D and 3D papermaking techniques including pulping, sheet formation, shape formation, pressing, and drying - all of which affect the resulting paper. In addition you will explore decorative uses of grasses, flowers and seeds to achieve different textures and surfaces. You will come away with a range of handmade papers created in the workshop plus further recipes to continue to explore...
All materials will be provided, but do bring along items you have collected such as grasses, seeds, petals, pressed flowers and small leaves (& anything else you might like to try) to include in your paper. It is also recommended that you bring an apron, several old or dark towels and a tea towel.
