Emily Notman: Circle of Stitch Workshop

This new workshop is inspired by overgrown surfaces and florals, where you will learn contemporary embroidery and my textural hand stitch techniques. You’ll create your own textured circle of stitch, drawing inspiration from the natural beauty of flowers and foliage. Using a variety of beautiful materials, you’ll adorn your piece with rich textures and colours, exploring different embroidery methods to bring your design to life. The workshop will guide you through finishing your piece with fine detailing and appliqué, adding layers of interest and depth. By the end, you’ll have a unique, textural embroidery piece to frame.

All materials and equipment are provided, but you may with to bring your own fabrics, threads, buttons, beads and haberdashery to personalise the work.

The workshop is 10 - 4pm

Information for art workshops:
Full payment will be taken at time of booking (this is non refundable or transferable to a different workshop). However IF this workshops has to be cancelled you will of course receive a refund in full.

All materials and use of equipment are included, however it is recommended that you bring a few items to personalise the work (as listed above)

Please bring a packed lunch. However cold drinks, tea & coffee will be provided.

Under 16’s must be accompanied by a participating, paying adult.

Please be aware the workshop artists retain the intellectual property to their own ideas- you cannot go into business making, or running workshops showing copies of the artists work. You can however use the ideas for personal use and with your own students, if you are a teacher.
