Emily Notman: Festive Decorations and Cards workshop

Create your own beautiful set of embroidered festive decorations and personalised range of handmade Christmas cards. Begin by deciding your initial shapes before exploring mixed media and textile techniques to apply a range of fabric layers and paper ephemera to your designs. Decorate with delicate hand embroidery, contemporary appliqué techniques and haberdashery to make each piece extra special. All materials are provided but do bring along your own special fabric and paper scraps, threads and haberdashery to personalise.

The workshop is 10 - 4pm

Information for art workshops:

Full payment will be taken at time of booking (this is non refundable or transferable to a different workshop). However IF this workshops has to be cancelled you will of course receive a refund in full.

All materials and use of equipment are included, however it is recommended that you bring a few items to personalise the work (as listed above)

Please bring a packed lunch. However hot and cold drinks, biscuits and cake will be provided!

Under 16’s must be accompanied by a participating, paying adult.

Please be aware the workshop artists retain the intellectual property to their own ideas- you cannot go into business making, or running workshops showing copies of the artists work. You can however use the ideas for personal use and with your own students, if you are a teacher.
