Judith Brown: Wire Jewellery workshop

Create your own unique piece of handmade jewellery using just wire, pliers, your hands and Judith's signature wire stitching and wrapping techniques. Adding glass beads for colour and texture, you’ll experiment with copper wire and the the wire techniques Judith will teach you to create different effects, finally bringing all your work together to make your own necklace, which we’ll oxidise to create the charcoal grey finish Judith uses in many of her designs. Your necklace can be long or short, as you choose, with matching earrings too if time allows. Use of equipment is included and materials will be provided, including one pair of sterling silver ear hooks to finish any earrings you make. If you wish to finish your necklace with a sterling silver chain too (instead of the ribbon or necklace wire included) there will be the option to purchase this on the day for around £9.

All materials will be provided, but feel free to bring along your own small beads to personalise your work

Full payment will be taken at time of booking (this is non refundable or transferable to a different workshop). However IF this workshops has to be cancelled you will of course receive a refund in full.

All materials and use of equipment are included, however it is recommended that you bring a few items to personalise the work (as listed above)

Please bring a packed lunch. However hot and cold drinks, biscuits and cake will be provided!

Under 16’s must be accompanied by a participating, paying adult.

Please be aware the workshop artists retain the intellectual property to their own ideas- you cannot go into business making, or running workshops showing copies of the artists work. You can however use the ideas for personal use and with your own students, if you are a teacher.
